1: Don’t randomly turn on electrical breakers, you just might engage a security system and lock your self and everyone else out of the building. 2: When asked don’t assume someone came in and installed the system while you were away. 3: When you call your boss to tell him/her about the problem, be prepared for him/her to call everyone involved in the construction of said building to trouble shoot. 4: Be prepared to answer questions from those higher on the food chain than yourself. 5. Finally. Admit what you did, have a good laugh and be grateful your employer has a sense of humor. We have a new fire station. Some of the new appliances stopped working. I went to the station to check the electrical breakers. I turned on every one that was turned off. Yes, there is a list, but I don't read lists. I engaged the magnetic door locks, the kind you have to have a swipe card to open. No one has a card yet. I spent quiet a bit of time trying to figure out how to get in. Anyway, I did not discover what had happened until the builder called me and ask me to check the breakers. duh huh If it is any consulation, I feel confidient no one will ever get into that building once the system is turned on! Happy Pre- Easter Everyone! Tim and Heather, I send all my love and hope you have a wonderful weekend with Scott and Lynn! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
