My 9 month reign as EMS Director came to an end last Friday. The past nine months have been the worst of my entire life! Looking back over it, there was only one positive, and that was a little more money. Even that wasn’t all good. Medics working one overtime shift a week made more than me.
Sunday afternoon, I worked my 1st shift as a medic in a very slow station (the vacation station) and I will work Thursday. Sunday and Thursday…Cool huh? I’ve made a list of thing I want to accomplish on my 5 (yep, FIVE ) days off every week. Get the pool up and running, clear water etc. Clean out my closet, get rid of old clothes, put away winter ones. Start a web site to sell my jewelry. ( I started making jewelry) Start a new stained glass project; possibly work on a design for a new idea that might be marketable. Go to the gym three times a week. Eat better, no more fast food two or three times a day. Clean out the garage Work on the pond area, it’s overgrown and the pond has a leak. Sit on the deck and watch the hummingbirds fight over the feeders. Read for pleasure! Write for pleasure. I’ve always wanted to tell my life story, so that my kids could know me as a person, not just their mom. Watch a lifetime movie once in a while. Sit on the beach and read a book, walk the shoreline looking for shells and sea glass. Work on designs for jewelry using sea glass. Walk the dog in the evenings. I’m so excited at the prospect…….. Today I have to run some errands. Go to the bank; pick up coin rolls and statements for a Social Security request. Go to the college and pick up financial aid paperwork for Wayne and Jodi Go by the pool store and buy chemicals for the calcium in the pool Go by the DMV and pick up a book to study for my class B drivers license (new work requirement) Come home and mess around in the pool. Clean the house, maybe even take a nap. Life is good! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
