Gull folds wings. No good.
Lifts off, hops to next piling.
Much more comfortable.
Two joggers, strangers,
She ten feet ahead of him,
Running in rhythm.
Copter's growl, cars' whoosh,
Hammer's clank: all stop. Silence.
Waves lapping seawall.
