I dread the beginning of the month, as it swallows up all the entries I made in the last 30 days and spits out the white page of writer's block once more. I've found I'm not sure why I'm writing anymore. Maybe the experiment is through.

summer in summary:

I've lost 15 lbs.
I've almost got my degree.
I've had 4 jobs.
The weather was cooler than any august I remember.
I didn't travel this summer, not enough anyway.
Money is forever saved and spent.
I've compromised my values at least 3 times.
I've stopped caring how I present myself since that is all I do now.
There was a short hiatas from 9 am in the morning.
I've taken advantage of my superiors a couple of times, usually under deress.
I'd like to buy a vowel..and a complete set of magnetic poetry.
I got a bad haircut from a good hairdresser.
I talked to family members I've only known by name.
I came to appreciate the taste of a homegrown tomato.

------------
So the summer is wrapping up, and so has my internship at VWA. I think it went pretty good, and it was invaluable for understanding the internal currents of a design house. I'm in the middle of the last mile of the portfolio. Currently I have 7 out of 21 projects finalized, though the rest are at various stages of completion. I'm slightly annoyed at aip at the moment, though its is mostly my own fault. No time to deal with it, but the present, unfortunately. USS is going along swimingly. Due to the lack of hands, I've been working like a junior designer more than an intern, which has its benefits, since the good pieces can go directly into my portfolio. :)

The family do was great. Though I hate to admit it to said family (in concern of encouraging them) this was a very good reunion. We saw something like 125 relatives, all connected through a great grand father. Some of the group are even still over in the Netherlands, running Windmills and building dikes. My cousin got all the way back to 1706. What was interesting was meeting another 25-27 year old, brown-eyed, woman named c*therine formsm* (spelled differently)

So a lot has happened, but not much more than the usual. I must talk mizu into noodles again soon...mmm..dr. foo's special.

*sigh*

But for now I go warm up my coffee and settle down to quarking and illustrating.
