So I was just reading over the Florida reaction to Mel Gibson's new film. Basically it sounds like par for the course ("we are upset, oh now we've seen the film and it wasn't what we though it would be. Gee, isn't Mel Gibson swell for making it...") when I came across this:
In a future article for the Episcopal newsletter, Bishop Leo Frade of the Diocese of Southeast Florida recommends seeing the film but warns that ``there is a lot of violence very graphically depicted.'' However, he added, ``When I was a missionary in Honduras, there were people I took out of prison after being interrogated by the secret police that looked much worse than the bloody Jesus in the film.'' Puts violence on tv in its place, doesn't it? What's Playing: Iron Lung (radiohead)
