2005-12-19 6:48 PM Another I. U. Day Read/Post Comments (2) |
You've got to admit, in between digging in Romania and breaking my hip in Kenya I have a really large number of Incredibly Unremarkable days. In other words, days filled with the trivia of existence.
Today was no exception. The PT came right about lunch time--in fact, he arrived just before the pet sitter and just after my friend in Mobile called. I told the friend I'd call her back, and we got at the PT. It felt good, and I'm pleased at the increased range of motion in the "bad" leg. My goal, of course, is having the motion necessary for driving a shift car. To that end I will work tirelessly. After everybody left I called my friend back (this is the one with whom I meet for a five hour lunch during the summer.) She was naturally curious about what had happened and wanted all the details. From there we went to academic matters and I used her as a sounding board for a project I have in mind to keep my brain busy during the probably-jobless spring. I think I now have that project in a little more concrete form. (I hope so.) My cats are letting me know big time how glad they are that I am back. My monster cat has spent most of today trying to get on my lap. When I'm watching TV there's a place for him, but not when I'm trying to catch up on bookkeeping. The calico cutie is also letting me know in her shy way that she's glad I'm home. And they all appreciate the electric blanket at night. Tomorrow I can look forward (??) to getting the staples out of my thigh. Somehow, it doesn't sound too pleasant. We'll see. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
