2006-04-14 8:08 PM It's Not Saturday Read/Post Comments (1) |
I have to keep telling myself that. It's not Saturday, it's not Saturday--it's FRIDAY!!!
It still feels like Saturday, even though I left the house at about the same time I ususally do on Fridays. However, I headed in a different direction--to the west end of the parish, instead of towards New Orleans. I got to the Red Cross office in time to start my review class for CPR-Pro at the scheduled time. Luckily, I had a co-instructor who knew where everything was at that office. (The Slidell office, where I usually teach, took 8 feet of water from Katrina.) I was finished and on my way home a bit before noon. However, one look at the traffic backup where I usually exit and I continued to the next one, where there was no back-up. It was about a four mile detour, but a whole lot less frustrating than stop and slow. I grabbed a quick lunch then headed down to PJ's to work on The Project. This was aided by a large cup of coffee with caffiene. I usually get decaf, but I had a coupon for a free cup of leaded. (The coupon came to me via an e-mail because I am a registered PJ's wireless user.) I'm beginning to sort of get an idea of what I want to do. After reviewing a variety of things this afternoon I came home, fed the beasts, then headed for the computer to order some more books. I'm not sure how many I have on order at the moment, but they're all relevant. Of course, by the time I got home it was too late to do things like a bit of yardwork--and it was then that I realized that it It's Not Saturday--and I can think about doing that stuff tomorrow.
