I'm sitting on the couch in the den while I do this entry. YD came by this morning and installed a network thingy so that now I have internet anywhere in the house. (Probably I could also access it from the immediate yard.) That was her biggie birthday present to me--plus lunch out when she was done with the installation.

It started thundering this afternoon and Freckles and I had a bit of a "discussion." But I stopped at the steps, gave her some treats, and then gave her a good brushing and combing while it continued to thunder. When it started to rain she went under the house. Maybe she just needs some reassurance. Later this afternoon I got the hole in the screen temporarily covered so I could once again open the sliding glass door without inviting in half the insect population.

I'm going to like this new internet flexibility.
