It was in the 50s this morning, but I put on my warm bathrobe and pulled the afghan over my legs and lap. I really did NOT feel like going through the furnace ritual. Besides, the weather forecast called for temperatures in the 70s.
I turned off the hall ceiling fan a couple of days ago, and could not help but notice that it had acquired a LOT of dust on the blades. I cleaned that off and actually remembered to move the cat food tray from under it before I knocked off all the dirt! I got involved with a lightweight mystery I'd bought the other day--Rumble on the Bayou. It was a fun read. It was also the first novel by the author and I sort of hope she writes some more. The mystery part was acceptable, and the torrid sex scenes generally fit in with the story. I "set it free" this afternoon at PJ's, and when I left it had already been "caught." One thing about cooler weather--those creatures with the fur coats really like to share body heat--with me. And if I "forget" to turn off the heating pad--well that's kitty heaven. This morning I almost had a paper crisis--I thought I had another roll in the cabinet. I was wrong. But--there was half a roll in the half bath, so I had a reprieve. This is all leading up to the Walgreen brand, which is $2.99 for a four-pack, was on sale at three rolls for $1.98. You do the math. I did not buy the four-pack. Unless a warm front moves through tonight, I shall probably have to light the furnace tomorrow. Or be utterly miserable. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
