Seven--aka one more than six, not to mention it being the cardinal number between (are you ready?) six and eight!!!

Seven days in a week, seven deadly sins, seven-up--which I assumed was merely a beverage until I was prowling the dictionary and learned that it is also "a card game for two, three, or four persons in which seven points constitute a game." Nothing in there about how to play it.

The dictionary was nice enough to list the Seven Wonders of the (ancient) World: the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Colossus of Rhodes, the Pharos (lighthouse) at Alexandria, the temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the statue of Zeus by Phidias at Olympia, and (of course) the Egyptian pyramids.

And how many remain? (Wonders, not pyramids.)

Tonight, according to the weather wizards, the temperatures in this area are supposed to dip below 30 (F). Come to think of it, they will be quite a ways below 30 (C). When we were in Beijing 30 C was getting up into the sweaty temps.

The archivist keeps "mentioning" a bio about Mona. She's not referring to something she is doing. That's fine--it should be interesting. She also asked me to tell her what kind of archivals materials I wanted for all the photos in her memorabilia. We're talking way more than a hundred envelopes with a roll of prints. As a result, I've been discovering the world of archiving catalogs. And getting to know what to look for chemically in preserving materials.
