2007-01-06 7:27 PM Today I was a Blob Read/Post Comments (1) |
I woke up earlier than I wanted to, turned up the furnace, ate some breakfast, then had a cat-assisted-doze for another hour or so.
I was tempted to continue being a total blob, but when I glanced at my to-do list I noticed that "first of month financials" had yet to be checked off. So I did them, and then as long as I had started digging in the "pending" box, I kept on digging till I found the license plate update tag for the Jimmy, the latest insurance cards for both cars, AND the Jimmy title. I was really concerned that the title might be in the safe deposit box, but obviously I had removed at some time. Doing first of month financials meant that I had some outgoing mail, and I figured that the carrier had already been here by the time I had the mail ready. So, I put on something better than a baggy sweatshirt (which is sufficiently baggy that the lack of an upper torso undergarment is not obvious) and really old slacks, and headed to the post office to drop off the mail, and then to Arby's for lunch and PJ's for reading. How's that for an exciting day? Now I'm pretty much in between football games. The Colts beat Kansas City (sorry Doug) and the one that just started is Dallas vs. Seattle. The Saints have a bye, but the only way I'll get to use the second playoff ticket is if Chicago gets beaten next week. (and the Saints win.) I was thinking about reading the current geek book while I watch the game, but doing the financials counts as productive, and therefore today will not be a total blob day. And I can pay more attention to the game. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
