Yes, we're having a bit of a cold spell here. However, it doesn't look like we'll have any of the precipitation freezing into sleet or snow. And (with luck) it won't get cold enough to turn the roads into demolition derby sites.

But it's cool enough to make the cats VERY friendly. I had one cat or another on me all last night, and I think Lady is going to trade Freedom for warmth tonight.

Classes started at Tulane/Newcomb today, but none of our student workers showed up. People wanting to use the library appeared, but only one of them was lucky enough to be there when Susan (archivist) was downstairs and could renew a borrowed book for her.

What made it more frustrating to the students, I suppose, was the sight of a couple of us there, in the library, doing things. I'm totally clueless about the routine library routines, although at some point I shall probably learn the simple things like checking out books.

It hadn't started to rain (yet) when I was driving in, but it was raining all the way home.

Tomorrow should be more of the same. I think I'll go in to work--there's not much that needs doing around here that can be done in the rain.

Is this my first totally IUD of 2007? I think so.
