I didn't do much of anything today, although I managed to get the trash up to the road in time for my hauler to collect it.

Mostly I was just hanging around doing little junk waiting for a 2 PM telephone appointment with my financial manager. We talked for about an hour, starting with catching up on what's going on in my life. From the financial aspect, it was very satisfactory. She's figured out a way to get some extra money out of an investment. That's always nice. She is very, very good at what she does.

Now that Katrina expenses are done, we can go back to the original agenda/schedule. For instance, last year I took my required IRA withdrawal early, mostly to pay the tree man.

Once that was done, I made a quick trip to WalMart to get something to hold some of my newer t-shirts that I use for work. I've given some of the older ones away (love that FreeCycle) but I'm running out of space.

When I was teaching I almost always wore a blazer (plus the usual other clothes.) My current workplace is somewhat less formal and in the cold weather I simply wear long-sleeved sweater and an outdoor jacket for when I'm outdoors. (and, of course, slacks, socks, and shoes.)

WalMart was delightfully empty, but it was about 3:30 and that means the mamas are back home awaiting their school-age kids. And it was too early for mamas and kids stopping on the way home from getting picked up at school.

Last night I woke up when something knocked over the metal trash can. I think it was a cat--I turned on the light and looked out and it appeared to be the little tigerish stumpy that comes around. (Either that or a long-haired raccoon.) This morning I found that the lid had come off and the partly empty bag of dry cat food dragged out and torn open.

This morning there was a pretty little orange cat meandering around. CC was VERY interested in watching it from inside. BadCat was out at the time, but there was no confrontation.

Yes, it was an IUD.
