Since yesterday was the last day of my work week, today, since it is (according to the calendar) Friday, it must be Friday number 2.

Either that or Saturday #1.

And it was a pretty much wasted day, all in all. I dozed for an extended period late in the morning. When I went out I found an even longer line at the inspection place than there was last week.

I ended up at PJ's and got deeply involved in an Anne McCaffrey/Elizabeth Scarboro novel. It's the first of a new series and it shows great promise. (Title is The Changlings.)

The boy cat didn't show his face today--I can't believe he's given up already on this household with two female cats.

[Side note: compare the terms for female cats against that for female dogs. Which has more "status"--Queen or bitch?]

Tomorrow the weather will be such that I shall plan on donning the freshly washed (but still with a few stickers) clothes and continuing my battle to the death with the weeds. I'm sure I'll be glad in the spring that I pulled up so many, rather than just chopping them off.

How's that for an exciting life?
