After devoting the entire morning to finishing that book, I settled down to some bookkeeping work. That done, I headed out for lupper, taking along The Cat Who had 60 Whiskers for mealtime reading.
I probably wouldn't have gone out at all except that the drugstore called me to say that the drug they had run out of last Friday was now in stock again and I could pick up my prescription. So today has had minimal accomplishments, although I may try to finish the Cat Who book this evening. Braun's books are getting shorter and shorter, and there is more and more white space between the lines. I don't remember how many of these books she's written, but it's at least one a year. When I got back home there was BadCat sitting on the fence by the driveway. The top "rail" is a 2x4, so she has just under 4" to sit on. She's not a very big cat. (Fabian would probably slop over the sides of a cement block.) But she looked cute sitting there. Feline company today was the yellow cat (?Leo?) who lets me pet him and the stumpy, who has not quite reached that point, although she(?) is aware that I am the Source of Free Food. When I try to get a bit closer, she(?) goes under the trailer. They were still ditching today on my street. I don't know who--if anybody--is going to take up all those inch thick telephone cables. And I hope it rains soon to wash away the mud patch right in front of my mailbox. Just my usual IUD. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
