Four years . . . . and what have been the (positive) accomplishments?

I went back in my memory: Dec. 7, 1941--Pearl Harbor attacked.

May 15 (ish) 1945--VE Day. Victory in Europe. That's a just a few days more than 3 1/2 years.

August (middle of) 1945--VJ Day. Japan surrendered, after two cities and a huge number of civilians had been killed immediately, while thousands and thousands more had more lingering deaths. That's not quite 4 years either.

Four years, how many deaths--on both sides of the conflict?

Oh yeah--nobody is claiming that there are any more WMD, at least on the Iraqi side.
