Yes, the plumber just left and now my main potty no longer leaks. It was a fairly simple procedure and his bill was quite fair. It will be nice to have to go only a third as far in the middle of the night. (Or any other time, for that matter.)

And I got some more weeding done this morning. One more trash barrel full of weeds is now decaying in the pool. Oh but those dewberries have loooong runners. As I sit there pulling weeds and such I make "plans" for getting it a bit nicer. Now that I have neighbors on that side I feel a mild obligation to have it look halfway decent. I'm thinking a couple of azaleas where two trees used to be.

And speaking of azaleas--mine are now bursting out in all their glory. Some of them still have a bunch of deadwood, but they are doing double duty on what isn't dead.

My monster fraidy-cat is on the CPU for security. There was a strange person in the house and he needs reassurance. All 25 pounds of him.

Back to work tomorrow. Because of the plumber I opted for Wed., Thurs., Fri. again this week. Of course, that gave me a four-day weekend.

I haven't decided about next week.

Our governor has decided not to run for re-election. I don't blame her one bit. Having the nation's worst natural disaster in her state on her watch is "trying," to say the least. I wonder if the lieutenant governor will try for it. His sister is one of our U. S. Senators, his father was mayor of New Orleans for eight years, his aunt is on the school board. He recently ran for Mayor but lost in the run-off.

Louisiana politics is always interesting.

And my house is back to normal.
