I thought the campus looked somewhat deserted, and then I commented on the student worker having been at work all morning. That's when I learned there was a break of several days. That also explains why the Center director was dressed quite casually yesterday. I guess maybe I should find a calendar and see what other breaks there are.

Yesterday I noted that another east N.O. shopping center was being demolished. (It's the one at Read Rd., where Hancock Fabrics used to be, not to mention an Office Depot and a bunch of other stores.)

One of these days I'm going to stop when I get to the UNO campus, park, then get out and look at just what is being built on the waterway next to it. I think it's a flood gate.

My azaleas are really hitting their stride, as far as blooming goes. This weekend I'll get out with the clippers and trim out the areas I know are dead. Blossoms are appearing on some branches that have (had) no leaves. And if I can find them, I think I'll just toss last year's flower seeds at the edge of the lawn and other casual spots.

I wouldn't say it's warming up, but I just kicked the AC on in this room. The forecast thinks 79 will be tomorrow's high.
