Talk about a quiet day! The furthest I got from the house was when I walked down the driveway to get the mail and newspaper.

My primary task for today was getting the car mats dried out, and I'm well on my way to that. The removable ones are draped over the porch railing, and old newspaperrs are happily sucking up the moisture from the carpets still attached to the floor.

And (obviously) I got the internet working again. Calling the server is an exercise in frustration. I ended up talking with my personal computer expert who said to unplug absolutely everything. That worked. Incidentally, crawling under a table to get to the "everything" plug is not too hard. The challenge is getting up again without knocking something over. But I've got that pretty well mastered now.

Tomorrow looks to be equally exciting--groceries and gasoline! I resolve, however, to get to some yard work tomorrow. If the weather behaves. (And if I'm in the mood--I've got a lot of unread books sitting around.)

Oh, yeah--and getting the mats back into the car.
