I was supposed to get a treatment for my back this morning, but it got cancelled when the nurse asked me if I had a urinary tract infection. Well, yesterday the nurse from my primary care dr.'s office called to tell me I had just that. And what was my drugstore.

So I put my clothes back on and called my "ride", who had figured she had at least two or three hours.

Then I called the scheduling person and re-booked. She had not known about the UTI thing, but (a little applause please) from now on she'd add that to all the other questions she asks.

So--I had something to eat, then went to PJ's to soak up their AC and iced coffee and continue the novel I just started getting into at the hospital. I also picked up the prescription (the drugstore I use is behind PJ's) and learned that I have to plan my eating. It should be taken at least an hour before I eat and/or at least two hours after I eat. I take two a day. I have at least a half hour before supper this evening.

My current read is Kathy Reichs' Cross Bones and it is a very good read indeed. I'll probably try to finish it this evening, or tomorrow at the latest.

I happened to be at the road when the water meter reader came by. At least he doesn't have to jump over the rather wide ditch to get to mine--he justs walks down the driveway to get behind the fence. Lady was outside and greeted him. He, of course, petted her.

The gas man reads the meter from the road--he has some little binoculars so that he can see the meter. The power company guy has to walk all the way to the back of the house (about 200 ft.) to get to the meter. The next time the boys come to work I'll have them do a really good cleanout in that area.

Back to my book!
