It took me a while this morning to "put my body in motion" but I finally did get going. Probably two-thirds of the suitcase is unpacked, and two-thirds of that is in the laundry pile. I guess I'll do that this evening. On the other hand, I don't have a pending undie emergency, so I can probably put that off another day.
This evening I need to pay such bills as are not auto-deducted from my checking account. This includes the pet sitter who left Fabian beautifully brushed and groomed. She knows how to win the hearts of animals. I do hope I don't find another welcome-home present tomorrow morning. Tomorrow will be a work day, and I have little gifts for all the regular staff. When I was at Susan B. Anthony's house I spotted some post-it notes with a quote from her on it and I bought a bunch. (I also bought a book I don't think I've read.) The docent for the tour was very nice and had a chair ready for me to sit on after I climbed my way up (or down) each flight of stairs. This vacation break was just what I needed--a break in routine and being in a different place with a couple of very good friends. It was very comfortable in their house. Their dog took right to me, which I guess is a sign of approval. (The lower tempertures and humidity were nice too.) Just to give you an idea of what type of people they are, a visit to the giant two-story Barnes & Noble--complete with a used books department--was the highlight of one afternoon.
