It's looking like Dean will come inland along the Tex-Mex border. Or somewhere to one side or the other.
That is, of course, assuming that various fronts that may be keeping Dean on that path don't dissolve and let him swing north and east. When I left work today Maintenance was about half done draping all the bookshelves with giant sheets of plastic. I told the maintenance guys my "redirection" theory--where everyone faces north to breath in, and south to breathe out. One of them was cracking up, picturing it on TV. I don't have much of anything planned for the weekend, aside from watching weather forecasts. There's always dumb stuff to be done--stuff that never stays done, like cleaning and laundry. And, for that matter, yard work. Luckily, I have lots of books calling out "read me!" whenever I walk past them. Time spent reading is never time wasted.
