They are a nice bunch of people, they mostly get to class on time (it's an 8 o'clock) and they seem to feel comfortable with me. I am so glad that I'm back to teaching.

And my other "job" is equally interesting and enjoyable, but in different ways. There's not the degree of people contact, but there's more that I am learning about. Today I even managed to do a book checkout! When the student handed me her ID there was no bar code, and I had heard the librarian tell someone else in that situation to go to Howard Tilton to get one put on the card. (Howard Tilton is the main Tulane library, and just down the road a piece.)

This afternoon's drive home included a bunch of stop and slow, because of an accident in the far left lane. This happened just a little ways after the place where two lanes of traffic have to (try to) merge into the three lanes of traffic on the main interstate. Problem today was an accident halfway up the High Rise that backed traffic up the usual several miles. I find it a lot easier to relax in these situations than I did when my car didn't have AC. (That was quite a while ago!)

The dog biscuits I put out last night in the (covered) ice chest were eaten by the raccoons. I don't know if the possum got any. I've already put out tonight's "offering."

I think tonight's TV is the usual drivel, but the mailbox had a box from Mystery Book Club. The newest Kathy Reichs book was in it, as well as the newest Margaret Maron.

Anyway, when I'm working the next day I can't stay up infinitely late reading.
