As I expected would be the case, there was only one car in the driveway this morning.
The paving project continues. Today they dumped some asphalt along the edge of my driveway, supposedly to make a smooth transition from the paved road (now 3" higher than it used to be) and the dirt/gravel/old shell driveways. I do hope they aren't finished--it looks really dreadful. One of my colleagues lucked out this morning--I was headed for my car to leave just as he was arriving for work. That timing got him a really really good parking spot. My e-mail (yahoo) finally connected. It had been down about a day. It wasn't my computer--the same thing happened at work, and when YD tried it on her computer she got the same message. And then it was working again. Yet another book arrived in today's mail. This is volume two (out of three) about women in world history. The love bugs are all around us. They flitter around, connected in a passionate connection, and they get smeared all over cars, especially windshields. I'm glad I have long outgrown children who want to know why they are "hooked together." Try driving a carpool of 9 - 12 yr. olds during lovebug season. One's best defense is to pay very careful attention to the traffic and ignore the back seat conversation. And that's about all I can squeeze out of an IUD.
