Yes--they have their first test tomorrow. I just printed out some of the old ones, and if I am really lucky I'll be able to make just a few changes and it will be ready.

I do three versions of exams. I tell the kids there are three versions, but most of the time there is someone who obviously had wandering eyes.

I left early this morning and would have had a great parking space had a couple of cars not played bumper tag on the interstate.

And so I don't repeat last Monday's fiasco, I'll set at least two alarm clocks tonight!!

There are small lockers in the lobby of the Women's Center building. On top of them there is a BIG stack of "help yourself" books--put there when the former director (a sociologist) was cleaning out her office. I've grabbed some of them, as have students and probably some faculty.

But today I watched as one of the Maintenance guys brought two back that he had finished, and took away a couple more. He spent his break at one of the tables having a $1.25 coke and reading. I think I'll add some of my old history books to the collection. I told the librarian about the guy and she thought that was pretty cool.

When I'd walked from my car to the building this morning I realized that I'd left my "regular" glasses in the car. Because it was darkish when I left, I had my sunglasses ready to put on. And by the time I got to Tulane they'd been on me for a good half hour.

I absolutely did NOT have the energy to do that walk again, so I asked the librarian if I could borrow her student worker for about ten minutes--and I explained why. The student was more than willing to retrieve my glasses. (Thank goodness I have a car that's easy to recognize.) When she got back I thanked her profusely then handed her a Susie ($1 coin) and a quarter and told her to have a soft drink on me.

So, it was a rather ordinary day, as usual. Now if I can get that exam rewritten and printed out quickly, I'll be quite happy.
