My ear and the side of my face which have been mildly plaguing me for several days shifted into high gear today. I'd already notified the Xavier secretary, who went to the classroom and told them about their assignment.

Miracle of miracles, I actually got a dr. appointment for today--in the morning. I saw the nurse practioner, who acknowledged that she couldn't see inside my ear at all. So, she wrote a couple of prescriptions and made me an appointment for Friday. It's still swelling a bit, but then I just took the medicine. I do not plan on going in to work tomorrow.

IMHO, this is a really stupid thing to have. It's much more glamorous to take a spill down some steps in Kenya. Or--even the cat bite thing (I let Elvis share my bed and he left me with an infection. That was 2004.)

So, today was incredibly unremarkable, and tomorrow should be the same.
