A Relaxing Day

That's what today was. I didn't wake up till after 9 AM! I never sleep that late, but I guess the cooler temperatures and the presence of a small cat helped.

YD and family picked me up a bit before 11 and we drove into New Orleans and a MARVELOUS dinner at a really nice restaurant. When we walked in I realized I'd been there once before--when it had a different name.

YGD was very well-behaved and I thoroughly enjoyed the time with them.

When I got home I realized there were some food items I needed to get in the next couple of days. I thought briefly of the madhouse stores become the day after Thanksgiving and went to Walmart to stock up on essentials. (Why do "essentials" always seem to begin with cat food and end with kitty litter?)

And now I can relax some more and think about all that needs to be done tomorrow. Weather should be ideal for gardening/weeding again. The house needs cleaning too, but I'd rather take advantage of the nice weather.

I have some grading to do, but it's not even the weekend yet. Plenty of time to do that. Oh--and I need to have an exam ready for (probably) Monday, although I may be nice to the students and not hit them with it (although it's on the schedule) till Wednesday. I doubt they'll be upset.

Instead, I'll get started on another mind candy book.
