Where's Emma?

Emma does not appear to be in the house. She was there at some point last night, because I heard her swearing at one of the permanent resident cats. I told my neighbor to be on the lookout.

This afternoon there was another bit of feline ruckus--I heard a tom singing a love song to my virginal little Lady. He also left his calling card on the outside of the front porch.

And so I tried to get the protective coverings secure over the various holes in the door etc. I can't hit a nail straight to save my soul.

YD came by and took care of something that I would otherwise have had to do tomorrow morning. She didn't seem concerned about Emma. Anna was with her and went looking for cats. The girls sensibly ran and hid. I think she got to pet Fabian--it takes too much energy to run, and besides, she knows how to pet cats.

I went to WalMart this morning and ran into the (former) owners of PJ's. There were in the pet food area and so we talked pets. They found it perfectly natural that I would feed raccoons. And further down the pet food aisle a guy was a loading about a 50 lb. bag of dry dog food--for his neighborhood raccoons. He didn't seem surprised when I told him about the one who had managed to unhook the twisted bungee cord.

This afternoon I caught up on the family finances etc. I also took a nap.

How's that for an IUD?
