2008-03-19 6:51 PM Long Weekend Ahead Read/Post Comments (1) |
With the students on break, it has been massively QUIET at the library, unless you count the workmen banging something or other almost every day.
This afternoon I was talking to the librarian and told her I'd decided that the "shop" would probably close down a bit early tomorrow (she agreed) and so I figured I'd see her on Monday. No--she won't be in--nor will anyone else (unless one of the students is really bored) because they have Monday off too. So--I shall take that day off also, and return Tuesday. I'm at the point in this particular collection where I'm not trying to remember 2500 different things about the person and her life. That will give me a glorious five-day weekend. It had better not rain. My azaleas are blooming half-way decently, and I really need to get some of the tall weeds out of the way and trim back the dead wood. I optimistically bought some caladium bulbs, so I should really plant them. This weekend! There's no end to things that need doing. I was going to stop at the auto shop on my way home and set up a time to get my leaky power steering fixed, but two things prevented that. The biggie was that there were two cop cars in the driveway, and the second (hopefully not a biggie) was that the business had changed hands. (They'd had a sign up saying this was in the offing.) My biggest challenge this weekend will be to avoid thinking "there's always tomorrow" and thus justifying procrastinating. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
