Today the half-dead trees came down. The Sweetbay Magnolia is the only one that really looks "missing." The two tall pines were just trunk to the ground-eye view.

The small stuff is now in the pool, keeping the turtles (large and small) and the frog(s) company. They should enjoy the new batch of hiding places. Putting that in the pool helped to fill the pool, AND saved me $200. That's the dump fee if he'd hauled it away. The big logs go to the pulpwood places.

At one point, one of the (3) guys asked if there was water. I told to him to check the freezerin the garage, where I keep about a dozen bottles half full of ice. I pointed him to the sink in the garage where he could top off the bottles. The rest of the ice melted quickly once it was out in the sun. I noticed that the half-filled bottles were not left behind.

Keeping water/ice in there helps keep the freezer working more efficiently, and postpones the addition of the bottles to the trash.

I had a follow-up call from the hospital asking how I was. I am fine. I told her it was such a pleasure to have only my left hip bothering me when I walked. I'll wait a couple more days before going back to the DMSO.

After the guys had finished with the trees I got into decent clothes and headed to PJ's for some relaxed reading of the Turtledove book, and then to Walgreen's to pick some OTC vitamins etc. Their vitamins etc are on a buy one, get one of equal of lesser value free plan most of the time. That's a definite cost saver.

The girl cats were out when the tree guys were here. Lady stayed at a discreet distance, but was very interested in what was going on. I didn't see CC anywhere--at least till supper time, when she came running.

Tomorrow I will finally get back to work, although I have done some inventory lists on my computer at home and e-mailed tham in.

That means I get up early tomorrow. Yuck.
