Slept a bit later than I planned, but I still got to WalMart before the electric carts were all gone.

And--got a bit of a shock. WalMart is rearranging itself and "perking" things up. What looks like wood floor is now in the clothing section. And the displays have been rearranged. Things are NOT in their ususal places.
I was looking for coat hangers, and the shelves where they had been weren't there any more. Fortunately, there are plenty of associates working at this rearrangement, and they generally know where things can be found.

I hope they don't mess up the grocery section.

It's the fake wood floors in the clothing section (so far) that are interesting--guess they're trying to look a bit upscale. That's fine, as long as you don't look up and see the metal roof beams--and cameras.

When I finished shopping I gassed up the car for the coming week. $3.85/gal., with the Sam's Club discount.

My car is so quiet now--and it practically steers itself. I'd been getting used to putting my shoulders into turns. I won't miss that.

I went to PJ's this afternoon for a bit of reading (and AC). A woman there asked me if I was S.'s friend. S. (an artist) and I used to frequently be at PJ's together before Katrina. I said yes, and she said she was also an artist. I gave her the e-mail address is case she wants to get in touch. She too lost all her art work in Katrina.

For a while this afternoon it looked like it might rain, but it didn't. I'd even taken an umbrella into PJ's. (Of course, that was probably the reason it didn't rain.)

I am planning on going in to work tomrrow. There's a lot left of the Alumnae Office files to work on.

This June has been the most disorganized month for me--I hope July is more predictable.

And the big news on the gardening front--at least one of second batch of caladium bulbs I planted is coming up. I bought them "reduced for quick sale" and crossed my fingers. Now to get the discounted calla lily bulbs in the ground.

So--another day, and an IUD at that.

I wonder if Lady will curl up on me all night tonight like she did last night. (That's why I keep the fan on.)
