I managed to move relatively efficiently this morning and was on the road before 0630. And I let myself into the building at about 0715. No traffic slowdowns at all.

The boxes of alumnae records were where I had left them (in the depths of the storage area) and I got to working on them.

I left for home about fourish.

On the way home I had a total of three phone calls. That is an absolute record for me. They were all short and efficient.

If I got more phone calls when I am on the road I'd probably get one of those hands-free thingies.

Around noon it rained a fair amount at Tulane. And it was beginning to threaten again as I got closer to home. I was within two miles of home when the very dark cloud ahead of me began to "leak." Nothing like being in a downpout on a substandard width road--with another car coming towards you. However, everyone was alert.

It was still raining quite heavily when I got to my driveway, so I decided the mail and paper could wait--at least till I had a big umbrella. I parked such that I had a very short dash to the protection of the patio cover.

And then it stopped raining.

Tomorrow I'll probably do stupid stuff around the house and yard. With respect to the yard, maybe it will rain some more.

Aside from the rain while commuting, it was just another IUD.
