I got off to a nice early start, encountered almost no traffic, and was parked by my building a tad before 7 AM.

It's a good thing Susan (archivist) had showed me some future collections to tackle because I am essentially done with the alumnae files. There's been a bit of a mixup on the collection number, but Susan wasn't there today (or at least if she was, she didn't come downstairs to the library.)

So, I went to the area she'd showed me the other day and discovered four cartons of stuff. It appears to be from a woman who sued (or tried to) LSU for sexual discrimination job-wise.

As a result, most of today I was reading about fighting discrimination. And how to prepare lawsuits.

I headed for home a bit before 4 PM--early enough to beat the bulk of the commuter traffic.

My cats greeted me enthusiastically. They know that my arrival heralds supper. They also know to keep out of my way or said supper will be a bit late.

Umless it's stormy tomorrow morning I'll be going in again.

This evening is special on TV--a preseason game with the Saints.

And in just ten days (8/17) there will be a home game.

The trouble with these first two or three pre-season games is that there are so many new people playing and trying to get a spot on the team. The regulars play maybe one or two quarters.

I think that's it for today--I need to get some supper and I have just 22 minutes before game time.
