When I looked at the weather radar at 5 AM I knew I could go back to sleep. Solid yellow and green over New Orleans, with just a bit touching the Slidell area.

Nothing like having an extra day added to the week, not that I got caught up on anything. But I did get a bit of cleaning done, and then spent much of the afternoon at PJ's doing geek reading. Oh yeah--and talking with my new Calif. friend who is now waiting on the results of her LA bar exam.

At least it's cooling down a trifle--I just switched the AC to fan only.

I am currently making all sorts of resolutions about yard work tomorrow morning. It will be a bit easier to follow through on a Saturday because there is NOTHING in which I am the least bit interested on TV Saturday mornings.

I think school may have started this week, or at least high school. I saw several kids in their khaki pants and white shirts in PJ's in the late afternoon. It's amazing how quickly you ignore school schedule dates once your own kids have graduated--and you no longer are involved with Girl Scouts. I guess I'll have to listen for the school buses, although I'm leaving for work about 6AMish and not many are running at that hour.

And now it's time to watch some of the Olympics hoopla.
