or - - - A day spent reading is never wasted.

I got caught up in Nefertiti and plan on finishing it before I go to bed tonight. It really moves along nicely.

This morning (between chapters) I finally got around to calling for an appointment for a routine mammogram. I've had the order slip since June. Lo and behold, they had an opening today.

So, after lunch I stopped at the place (an imaging center) and took care of that. No waiting, no fuss.

And then I settled in at PJ's and kept on reading about Nefertiti.

While I was there it started raining. Not particularly hard, but hard enough that I didn't want to get out of the car and walk across the street to retrieve my mail. So I took a slight detour and approached my house from the other direction so I could pull up next to the mailbox and get the mail from the driver's seat. My street doesn't get much traffic so people didn't look at me strangely.

I keep wondering how much longer the Olympics are going to go on. They are playing havoc with my sleep! Once I tune in I just keep on watching and watching.

Yeah--today was another IUD.
