2140: So far, there's been some light rain off and on. However, within the hour we should be getting some more serious rain as an outer edge of the storm comes around us. Luckily, the wind speed has dropped significantly.

I got another e-mail update from the Saints office, and it appears they will be sending these out every two hours.

It is possible that in the next couple of days Gus will drop 20" - 30" inches of rain over southern Louisiana.

When we lived in Cheyenne I learned that average annual precipitation there was ten inches.

But doesn't it snow a lot there?

Yes, but 10" of typical snow melts down to just one inch of precipitation.

I figure I'll keep the TV on but let myself fall asleep if my body wants it. It's not like I have something important to do tomorrow. And the meteorologist is very interesting.
