Yes, I have a laptop--bought post-Katrina.

However, I haven't used it for a while, so it took me forever to get everything updated.

And I am here in my usual PJ's, trying to get used to the keyboard where my lazy little finger keeps hitting the caps lock.

PJ's has wireless internet (don't all coffee shops?) and since I don't have electricity at home, this is it.

Power went off about an hour after my last post on Monday.

The storm was quite mild, as hurricanes go, thank goodness. I kept a paper journal, which I'll transcribe to here when I feel more comfortable with the different angles of body and keyboard.

I do believe I had visitors last night--there was not a single piece of cat kibble in the container--which had about a pound of stuff in it. They also cleaned up spillage on the floor. I hope these visitors do not make a habit of visiting.

I heard nothing.

My cell phone has given me an excuse to drive around--can't charge it at home without electricity.

My next few entries will be from my paper "diary of a storm."
