When setting the alarm on a digital clock, be sure that you have the AM/PM correct.
I didn't, and therefore I woke up to bright daylight, when I expected to wake up to almost dawn. Thus--today was an at-home day. But it was productive! I got about two weeks' worth of papers dumped, and I also got a bunch of yard overgrowth pulled and dumped. I spent the afternoon reading Firebird, by Mercedes Lackey. It is marvelous, and I hope I can stay awake long enough this evening to finish it. Hurricane-watching again, but this time we'll get only some of the tropical winds--and tides. Ike appears to be solidly headed toward Texas. Pogo came in for supper last night--I can tell by the crunching sounds. He's a fairly noisy eater. Eating that cat chow should make him a well-nourished little possum. I'm not going to attempt to go in to work this week--edges of Ike may be raining on us before the weekend. Tomorrow I should probably plan to do more yard stuff. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will rain. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
