I got a nice early start and was there a bit after 7 AM. I would have been there earlier but there was a "happening" involving a motorcycle on the inbound interstate, which meant about five miles of stop and slow.

I got a fair amount of work done on the current files. Today I learned all about when the head honcho at LSU quit. It followed all sorts of allegations and other stuff about football players and heaven knows what else. His resignation came as a bit of a surprise, apparently.

There are tons of newspaper articles about the whole thing--from several papers--and I am not really sure who the good guys and who the bad guys are.

The weird part is that this happened only about 20 years ago, and I don't recall it at all. But twenty years ago OD was in her last year of pediatric residency and YD was nearing the end of her college education. And I'd just started doctoral work at Tulane.

Well, that explains why I wasn't really paying attention to stuff like that. No time.

It is fall and I am reallying enjoying the weather. Not only is it less humid, but it's somewhat cooler. Makes for much better sleeping, and when it's not roasting hot I usually have at least one cat cuddled up.

I think we have a primary election this Saturday. It was supposed to be right after Gustave, which explains why it didn't happen. This Saturday would then have been the runoff of the party primaries for the Congressional races. I'm not even sure what/who is running, other than for U.S. Senator.

So--it was a productive day at work and I'm hoping to make tomorrow equally productive at home.

Yuck.
