Today had a high IUD index--that translates as boring and (relatively) unproductive.

Until after lunch--then something I ate must have brought about the strange urge to vacuum--at least in the front part of the house. Fortunately, it looks somewhat better. That's one advantage of not being paranoid about dust bunnies--you can see the difference when you do go on the attack.

When I remembered the gas level in my car I decided to go to Arby's for an early supper. Why there? Because there's a gas station on the way back home that is currently ten cents a gallon cheaper than the one on my pathway to work.

I guess it's Fall weather that has more or less invigorated me. The weather forecast has highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s for every day this week. And a bright yellow sun to indicate the chances of rain.

I have yet to feel the urge to light the furnace. It's probably safe to say that won't happen till October--which is just over a week away.

In between the short bursts of domesticity I continued reading Heretic Queen, by MIchelle Moran. It's quite good and moves along well. She paints (with words) excellent pictures of the settings.

My political comment of the day is below.

Obama Pictures and McCain Pictures
