As I listened this morning to what I think is a new hum from the fridge I decided I HAD TO check out some other sources.

So I went to Home Depot. A month or so ago I'd checked out their fridge collection rather casually, so I knew I could probably find what I wanted there.

The man that waited on me was real helpful and dug up the measurements of the one I was thinking about. (When you are looking for less than 16 cubic feet, there's not a whole lot of choice.) AND---there was one that was the right size and came in black. The order got written up, I opted against an ice-maker, and ordered the hinges to the left side of the fridge.

And then we got into silly things like cost. If I opened a Home Depot account I'd save $50. That was a no-brainer. I'll be paying in full when I get the bill, of course.

The delivery service will also haul away my current fridge--for a fee. But that will get refunded when I send in a certain coupon.

I think we settled on Thursday for delivery. Thursday morning I'll transfer whatever is in the freezer section to the freezer in the garage.

Other than that, it was a fairly dull day. I caught a bit of a football game where one team was about 60 points ahead of the other.

And another where LSU was trying hard not to lose.

If my eyes will stay open I'll try to read more of Category 7. I don't think I'll be able to finish it, however. At least not this evening.

(You know what's a creepy thought? This fridge will no doubt outlast me!)
