That brilliant title should give you an idea of what my day has been. Hint: it matches the journal title.
I woke up at a fairly decent hour (for a change) and did very little this morning. This afternoon I headed for the coffee shop with a geek book and a piece of mind candy. The place was almost empty when I got there, and business didn't pick up till I was about to leave. I got a good amount of reading (of both kinds) done. I stopped at Walgreen's to pick up a prescription I'd called in, but there were six cars in line at the drive-up and about eight people waiting inside. I'm not out of the stuff yet, so I'll head by there somewhat earlier tomorrow. Right after I got there I got a big hug from a young man who was heading out. I've known him since he was about 4. I'm assuming that the young woman and little girl who were with him are related somehow. He and his twin brother did a lot of yard work for us when they were kids. Do I ever miss them. The neighborhood is very stable, so there aren't a bunch of kids around like there used to be. They're all grown up with families of their own. My money manager called today to get a verbal OK on something that is maturing. She's doing a fantastic job with the market's ups and downs. We chatted a bit, of course. I had sent her a link to YD's book site and she was quite excited about that. So much for today. You know what kind of day it was--pleasant, but IU.
