It's very easy to lose track of what day it is when the rest of the world is slowing down--or speeding up--because of an upcoming holiday.

And when I'm not going in to work on a semi-schedule. (I'm going in on Monday to clean up what I was doing last week, then not till after the first of the year--the Center will be on break.)

A very dull morning. I got some financial stuff done and the clutter level on what was once a dining room table reduced in volume.

I'm completely up to date on bills and balancing checkbooks, but I ran out of steam when I thought about the Christmas cards I sort of plan on sending.

Instead, I headed for the usual place to do the usual stuff there.

It was not crowded in the least. I guess normal people are all out spending money and running up bills for next year.

Oh! The other day I got notice of my "raise" in the government pension, aka Social Security. I think it's a bit over $60 a month. That's good, because the spousal pension stays at the same level. My cats don't have to rely on the mouse population and Pogo can continue to pig out on cat kibble. I can keep up my end of the bargain with the raccoons with respect to the trash.

Tomorrow I'll probably take the radio outside to listen to the Saints game as I continue the race I'm losing with the dead leaves and pine straw.

Just another IUD.
