Today was either the last or next to last day Tulane was open until after the holidays. For me it was the last day till the first Monday in January.

I got a lot done and have essentially finished the one-carton collection I was working on. I'll type up the inventory at home, as usual.

I talked with the archivist and reminded her that I had no archival (acid-free) storage boxes and had not found any in strange places in the storage areas. I rather imagine there will be a fresh supply by the end of the holidays.

It was COLD this morning, and it was almost noon before the building heated up in the library. The lobby doesn't really get overly hot--not with the doors opening and closing frequently. (There is a first floor restroom area, and a LOT of the workmen know this and take advantage of it.)

The artist-person who directed the current exhibit was at the Center today and was pleased as anything that I wanted to keep the window covering they'd created. It is SO much more attractive than the calendar pages I was using to block the sun.

Today's morning temperatures were in the thirties and got up to only the forties, but that's changing again. By day after tomorrow it may hit 70. It's increasingly hard to believe that we had snow just a week or so ago.

So tomorrow I can choose from things like housework, yardwork, and reading. Oh yes--and petting cats who, even thought they have fur coats, like being inside in the cooler weather.
