My Incredibly Unremarkable Life

Yes, another one of those very exciting (NOT) days for me.

I did get some mending done and a bit of household stuff.

And the DVD I'd ordered for YGD came.

By mid-afternoon I was more than ready to head for the coffee shop and be around other people, so I did.

I got some quality geek-reading done--mostly about the concept of berdache, which is (roughly) the custom from the past of some male Native Americans taking on female roles. This was judged, apparently, by the tasks performed. In some cases (not many) females took male roles as fighters and hunters. The gender definitions were based more on tasks performed than on anatomical sexual differences. (If you want more info about this, e-mail me for citations.)

Today was a warm one--just because it snowed this month doesn't mean anything. I haven't had the furnace on for several days.

If the weather holds I shall do some more yard work tomorrow. I also need to get some groceries, so if I do that tomorrow it will be at the crack of dawn, although in the past WalMart has organized its return/exchange operations fairly well.

Did I mention this was an IUD?
