Just as I was ready to leave work it started raining a little. For about the first two miles I was driving in the rain, and then the front and I parted company and the rest of the drive home was uneventful and dry.

The current art display in the library is coming down. I don't know what the next will be. Too bad--I really like the style and subjects of this recent artist.

Around noon the school buses started arriving with lots and lots of kids. They were probably there to hear Amanda Shaw and the Cute Boys, who were playing near the university center.

Amanda Shaw is a teenager and plays a mean fiddle--and has a good voice too. I first saw her at the Piney Woods Opry about ten years ago when she was still in single digits.

Tulane is currently in the last couple of days of exams and I guess they figured some entertainment was in order. I'm sure Amanda and her act are also on the agenda for the Jazz and Heritage Festival--which opened last weekend.

When I got home Stripe was in the driveway, and CC quickly appeared. I fed CC and put some decent food on the porch for Stripe. Then I saw Spot. A recent check showed the dish on the porch was licked clean. In a while I'll put out the cat kibble for the possums and the dog biscuits for the raccoons.

(Did I mention that I've arranged with my neighbor to put out critter food when I'm gone?)

And if I don't quit "jabbering" I'll miss "Wheel of Fortune."
