I just finished talking to someone who once gave me a cat and is knowledgable about things like raccoons.

She was, of course, interested in the albino raccoons and passed along some more names of people more familiar with those particular animals--and who would be extremely interested in albino raccoons.

It's amazing how connections get built. As I said, she gave me a cat once--Bitty--when I "needed" a black cat. She was a little tiny thing and lived a long and pampered life. It took me several minutes to recall the person's name, but I did. And the telephone directory did the rest.

[One of the disadvantages of cell phones is that there is no nice omnipresent (and renewed annually) telephone directory.]

And now I should transfer those new numbers into my personal phone book. I'll talk with those people tomorrow.
