Little by little I'm working my way through the mounds of letters.

I haven't yet figured out when the signs of Alzheimer's began to be noticeable in the husband.

I'm currently working on correspondence from 15 - 25 years ago and finding very few (if any) hints of potential problems in the letters.

Thank goodness there's none of that in my genes. My paternal grandfather (the engineering professor) stayed sharp as a tack, and I don't recall being aware of any problems on my mother's side of the family. And neither parent showed any signs.

(Okay kids--you can breather easier--I'm probably not going down that path.)

As is becoming the "usual," there is a smallish calico tabby curled up on the papasan, and midway between the door and the papasan there's a big black cat curled up on the floor. Both appear to be sound asleep, but I bet they'd be fully awake in an instant if I rattled the dry treat bag.

Not much else--but what do you expect in an incredibly unremarkable life?
