My body didn't even think about waking up till after 8 AM this morning. It's the Olympics--they're doing reruns/highlights/whatever right after Star Trek. Star Trek starts at midnight. (Need I say more?)

Anyway, I got a little stuff done around the house and then went on a short errand in the late afternoon. While I was out I stopped at Subway. Their seafood sandwich on flatbread was extremely good.

I have an 8:30 AM dr. appt. tomorrow--I should probably skip the Olympics tonight.

The columnist James Gill had a doozie of a typo the other day. He was talking about the recent elections in New Orleans. In addition to electing a new Mayor the voters also decided to reduce the number of elected tax assessors. Well, somehow it ended up in the paper as " . . . and one property sex assessor instead, Lord help us, of seven."

I e-mail a short letter to the editor. I'm sure others spotted the typo and probably wrote also. So far, nothing in the paper.

(Maybe the typesetter had a bit too much Mardi Gras?)

That was my chuckle for yesterday.

I need to make sure I have a book to read in the waiting room tomorrow. That usually guarantees a short wait.
