Might as well post early--I'm about 98% certain that I am "in" for the night. And I'm about to change from go-to-the-store clothes to let's "be comfortable and take off that upper torso undergarment."

I slept a bit late, then looked at the sky and gray clouds, and concluded that staying home would be a good idea.

Except that about noon I realized I needed stupid stuff at WalMart and, since I plan to go in to work (and the 8 AM coffee conference) tomorrow morning, it was either this afternoon or heaven knows when. The rain deities were cooperative and it wasn't until I was about to turn onto my street that I realized that I need to get gas before going in to New Orleans tomorrow.

So I guess I'll go out again and get not only gas but somebody else's cookinng (defrosting, nuking) for supper.

The person with whom I am having coffee was in the paper today under People of Note on the business page. (A couple of years ago my step-daughter-in-law made it.)

I think I have a problem here--my watch says twenty to two, the clock on the wall says 6:00, and the computer says 17:01. The wall clock is still on daylight savings time. For just four months it's hardly worth the energy to reset everything. The cat sitting by the computer says she doesn't know and doesn't care. As far as she's concerned, just after supper works fine for her, and would I please forget to turn off the heating pad I use for my hip.

When I get back from the refueling run I'll settle in for TV. At least the Olympics offer a not-previously-seen alternative to the regular stuff.
